Tea tree oil uses are many, although this pure essential oil is most commonly known for their skin care applications but research has shown that tea tree oil can be used as an antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral property.
Some consider tea tree pidocchi to be Mother Nature’s perfect acne remedy. It destroys the P-acne bacteria on contact, and with it, one of the main culprits in acne pimple formation. And, it does it without the adverse side effects that accompany the active ingredients used in most over-the-counter acne treatments (ie: benzoil peroxide).
White Willow: if you’ve dealt with acne products before, you know that salicylic acid works, but is anything but gentle on your skin. 95% of acne treatments use a cheap, man-made form of salicylic acid. Higher end product use the natural form found in white willow extract. It is all-natural, effective and gentle on your skin. You pay more for it, but it is worth it.
Another efficient split end treatment uses olive or avocado Tea Tree Oil uses. Warm up the oil in the microwave and massage it into the hair, focusing on the ends. Wrap your hair in a warm towel (straight out of the dryer), and allow the oil to remain on the head for 7 hours or overnight. Rinse the hair out with a water and vinegar mixture.
I have found that tea tree oil does not leave the skin feeling as dry as a normal soap or a benzoyl peroxide based product. My personal regimen in the past was a benzoyl peroxide bar and a light moisturizer, but with mixed results. I switched to a tea tree based wash in the shower and jojoba oil to moisturize afterward and have seen a significant improvement in my complexion. Its a fairly amazing difference and after having acne as long as I have an having tried so many products that I am simply astounded at how effective this combination is.
Some other uses include the treatment of hair lice, the best way to use tea tree oil for hair lice treatment is by mixing 10 ml of the oil with 50 ml of your favorite shampoo. Then add 50 ml of vegetable oil, (any kind of vegetable oil will do). Mix this all together with equal parts of water. Soak hair in this mix and leave it in for ten minutes. Then go and wash your hair out thoroughly to get rid of the oily mix. There won’t be any of those unwanted pest left in your hair alive.
